I hope my story can inspire others to examine their relationship with stimulation and consider whether a dopamine detox might benefit them too. I used to be very active on social media but now I have deleted every app except Reddit (although I lately find myself getting addicted to Reddit too lol). I'm using it even after the detox to block social media and youtube every day until 8p. I would stick to it for a day or 2 and then boom! back to square one. I moved from social media to Netflix, from scrolling to streaming. The period has now ended, and I wanted to post some reflections.
